The uncommon first Canadian printing, identical to the American first state except for the publisher identification on the title page and the spine. Covers somewhat edgeworn with some soiling on the rear board and light creasing on the spine. Cover pasteon of Jack scratched and rubbed. Front hinge repaired with tape, rear hinge shows some repair also. Occasional mild soiling on the pages. Matches all first editon points and all plates present. Hanff & Greene XXIII, Hinke p.45.
