A very respectable copy of an uncommon and sought after book. Rather wonderful King Kong cover art with with three different views on front, spine and rear. Conceived by Edgar Wallace and Merian C Cooper and based on the screen play by James Creelman and Ruth Rose, this is the book based on the classic movie. Stills from the movie on the endpapers. Bound in green cloth with brown titling. Rear hinge cracked between endpapers and text block, exposing the mull. Gift inscription verso of promotional preliminary, bookstore label verso of rear endpaper. Mild browning to book edges. Jacket worn with loss of lower spine to a height of 4 cm. Chips and small tears and a large tear across most of the rear panel. Uncommon in any condition, particularly in jacket.
