The preferred Holland Paper Edition limited to 500 copies of which this is #220. Bound in gilt decorated quarter morocco over brown cloth. TEG. All volumes illustrated with captioned tissue guarded black and white plates, both photogravure and etchings. Printed on high quality paper and with high production values throughout. This set has 24 of the 30 volumes and is missing Shakespeare, 2 Volumes of the Rhine, 2 Volumes of Life and Times and one Volume 2 of Man Who Laughs. Includes Les Miserables (5 Volumes), Notre Dame (2 volumes), Hans of Iceland (2 Volumes), Dramas (4 volumes), History of a Crime (2 volumes), Ninety-Three (2 Volumes), Poems (3 Volumes), Things Seen/Essays (1 Volume), Man Who Laughs (Volume 1 only), Toilers of the Sea (2 Volumes). This handsome set is in generally Very Good condition - there is a small tear to the spine head of the first volume of Les Miserables and Volume 16 is scuffed removing the upper surface of the morocco at the top of the spine. Light scuffing and occasional marks to the rest of the volume. A heavy set, special shipping considerations may apply.
